The EV’s (Electric Vehicles) technology is about 100 years old, and also one of the most reliable technologies in the world.

The first electric vehicle was built in 1834 by Mr. Thomas Davenport in USA. This vehicle had non-rechargeable batteries. Also FORD MOTOR CO. made first vehicle was an electric vehicle. However, at that time there were lots of limitations in battery operated vehicles. These are heavy and have less running time. Meanwhile, large-scale discovery of crude oil reserves and developed of petroleum industries diverted the focus of automobile industry to internal combustion (IC) engine technology.

  
 

Due to low cost and plentiful availability, petro-fuels then became the main source of energy for automobile industries. Beside that, EV technology runs its journey in special applications like golf carts, lifts and vehicle used in big factory campus.

But very high consumption of petroleum products in automobiles over the year has lead to some problems. Such as high pollution, every day increasing cost of fuels etc.

Because of all these reasons EV technology has re-emerged as an attractive option.
